Why Jesus?

Through disobedience mankind became separated from God. By giving us the Old Testament law, God demonstrated to man that no matter how hard we try, we cannot be righteous through our own works. Our efforts can't win God's favor. We just cannot reach His standard of perfection. We must accept grace (which means favor that we did not earn). God the Father sent God the Son * to sacrifice His life (a perfect, pure, holy life) so that we could believe in Him, have fellowship with God, and be forgiven of our sins.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God loves you and desires you to live your life filled with His Spirit (The Holy Spirit). He wants you to have eternal life so that you can live a blessed life with Him forever.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Pray and tell God the Father that you accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as the payment for your sins.
Romans 10:9,10  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Pray Every Day

The Bible says that we should "make our requests known to the Lord." Therefore, pray every day and ask God to meet your needs:

"but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:4-7

Prayer is talking to God. Have a heart to heart talk with Him. He will not be angry and judgemental; He'll be understanding and merciful. He loves you!

Accept the fact that God accepts you.

Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Follow the Lord

Spend time with God in prayer and with Bible reading every day. Start your day with prayer. You can pray anytime, wherever you are. You don't have to speak out loud if you don't want other people to hear you. Just think what you want to say to God. He knows your thoughts (see Psalm 139:1-4).
You also need to choose a regular time each day to get alone with God. You might want to call this your "quiet time." Start doing this immediately. Make it a daily habit of your new life! Most of us have more time available in the evening, after the day's work is done.
Sometimes it is difficult to find a good church to attend. Remember that no church is perfect. Also, people have many ideas and opinions about Jesus. Some are helpful, and some are just downright strange. We believe that it is best to let Jesus speak for Himself. That is why we suggest that you read the book of John in your Bible.
You may wish to purchase a New King James version of the Bible.

God loves you, right now, at this moment,
just as you are! But He wants you to have more!

Good news from Jesus:

John 15:15
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Matthew:
11:28 "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."

21:21&22 "Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith, and don't doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it would be done. All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

18:4 "Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven."

22:37-40 "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."
Always Under ConstructionJohn 10:27-28
27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

John 14:2, 3
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:13, 14

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Ask your heavenly Father in Jesus' name:

Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13

Matthew 7:7-8  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 18:19  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 21:22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Luke 11:9  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer
him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that
ask him?

John 14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

John 15:7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:16  Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 16:23  And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Philippians 4:6  Be careful [NKJV: anxious] for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:19 But [NKJV: And] my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 4:2   Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

1 John 3:22  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1 John 5:16  If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
.....thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood ........
